- I was curious if someone could email me with any ftp/www sites for a good
- shareware C compiler. I have scanned this group for a couple weeks now
- and have had no real inclination to download any of the various programs
- previously mentioned because of the outcry they ahve recieved.
- So, I guess my best bet is to explain my situation and specs and
- hope for some revealing email....
-
- I have a dx2/66 with 8 megs ram.
- Win 95, but with that of course is DOS
-
- Lots of free time, being a student with a now-lite course load.
-
- I am a complete beginner... so along with a Compiler I am in the hunt for
- a good C book or two to learn from.
-
- Also, I am aware of some level of resentment towards people asking for
- freeware or shareware... All I can say about this is if I had the money I
- wouldn't be asking for a shareware compiler.
-
- So what is a good beginner compiler?
- What are some good books for beginners (prefferably compatible with the
- compiler)?
- COuld someone please email me with any help they may find to my benefit?
-
- Many thanks for any forthcommong help I recieve!
